The Hi-Lo collage series is a visual exploration of ideas centred on creativity, perception, as well as the tension between art & commerce. The college works fuse visual elements from artists recognized & championed in High Culture with those of artists working in virtual obscurity/anonymity to depict how aesthetically similar they can be and how ephemeral the dividing line between them really is.

The bigger idea here is to showcase how Hi culture & Lo culture effortlessly intermingle and how the creative spirit is a universally human trait and not one reserved for the elite/chosen few. In reality, we live in a pastiche society where symbols are routinely created, appropriated, reimagined, reinterpreted and redefined. Art is no exception.
